Sal received his MBA from Yale where he was a Fellow at the Yale Entrepreneurial Institute. He has been a featured speaker at Yale University on Entrepreneurship and Leadership topics and belongs to the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO).
In 2019, Sal was recognized as the top innovator in golf by the industry leading publication Golf Inc. Magazine and was the opening keynote speaker at the annual Golf Inc. Summit.
Prior to Arccos, Sal worked at software startups for more than 10 years as a software engineer, engineering manager, product manager and data architect.
Sal is a 2-index golfer and has notched four holes-in-one (three of which he credits to the power of Arccos Caddie). Sal is passionate about course architecture and is a Golf Digest panelist. At Ohio Wesleyan, he was captain of both the Men’s Varsity Tennis Team and the Cricket Team.
Meet Sal Syed, the CEO of Arccos Golf who is working to produce an innovative product out of a combined love of golf and passion for technology.
While Sal was earning his MBA at the Yale University School of Management, he met co-founder Clinton Grusd, who worked to develop the foundation of the business, and the business and product concepts, plans and strategies that are used by Arccos. Sal also joined forces with his childhood friend, Ammad Faisal.
These co-founders realized that golf was lacking a high-performing, comprehensive tool to track and analyze a golfer's game and improve decision-making on the course. They set out to change the way we think about golf and play golf.
With the help of some brilliant PhDs, engineers, designers and PGA Professionals, they have launched a product that is taking the golf world by storm: Arccos.
